DILKARA
Welcome to the world of DILKARA, where beauty meets cultural heritage. A brand created in collaboration with Julie Okely, a proud Kamilaroi woman, DILKARA is a celebration of Aboriginal Australian beauty, values, and traditions that sets out to bridge the gap between cultures by sharing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage. By incorporating Aboriginal Dreamtime in the collection name and creating formulations inspired by traditional native aromas, the brand utilises the art of storytelling to connect people to place and educates the global community on Indigenous Australians.

INDIGENOUS LITERACY FOUNDATION
DILKARA proudly supports the work of the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF), a national charity of the Australian Book Industry, working with remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities across Australia. They are Community-led, responding to requests from remote Communities for culturally relevant books, including early learning board books, resources, and programs to support Communities to create and publish their stories in languages of their choice.
Since 2011, the Indigenous Literacy Foundation has gifted over 1 million books to +500 remote Communities through the Book Supply program, published 235 titles reflecting 45 Indigenous languages and implemented their early literacy program, Book Buzz, into 116 remote playgroups.
The DILKARA Hotel Collection is proud to donate 5% of profits to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation, enabling more children to access books in their own language.
